Roma Expected to Make Ndicka Second Bosman Signing

Juventus might have been kings of the ‘free’ transfer market in the recent past, but Roma are stepping up to the task of signing talented players on a Bosman transfer. With Olympique Lyonnais prodigy Houssem Aouar already within their grasp, the Giallorossi are closing in on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Evan Ndicka, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Fueling the speculation, Roma’s Trigoria sporting complex was graced with the presence of the player’s representatives from AMS Talent Consulting, who posted on Instagram pictured alongside Jose Mourinho with the caption: “Work in progress.”

Ndicka has long been linked with an exit from the reigning Europa League champions, with a contract expiring at the end of the season. However, it is not just Roma in the picture – Napoli and Juventus are two other Italian clubs keeping an eye on the French stopper, along with Spanish giants Barcelona.

The 23-year-old never looked likely to receive a contract extension from Frankfurt’s end, despite being on pleasant terms with the club management. He is evidently seeking new challenges away from Bundesliga after five seasons.

Ndicka has 178 appearances for Frankfurt, playing a key role in winning the side’s first major European trophy since the 1980 UEFA Cup.
