Milan have reportedly been overtaken by Roma in the race for West Ham United outcast Gianluca Scamacca. The ex-Sassuolo striker has the Giallorossi first on his list of preferences, leaving the Rossoneri hanging behind for his signature.
According to Calciomercato, West Ham are willing to oblige Scamacca to hold talks despite signing him just a season ago. His Hammers contract expires in the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year. However, Roma are equally interested in luring him to Stadio Olimpico, with Inter also reportedly in the running.

Giallorossi sporting director Tiago Pinto is expected to be in London the coming weekend to conclude a potential deal, which will most definitely be a loan. The Roma upper management would want to a straight buyout clause included in the deal, perhaps tied to qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season. However, the Conference League winners would like the obligation to be activated immediately.
The potential arrival of Davide Frattesi could also entice Scamacca to join Roma.
