Roma Eye Former Lazio Target from Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic went through an ordeal last summer, as his club and Lazio pointed fingers at one another over a failed transfer deal that was pulled along until the final day of the previous summer transfer window. The Biancocelesti failed to secure his signature before the turn of the new season, now handing bitter rivals Roma a chance at their former target.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma are keen on reinforcing their midfield prospects and Kostic is one of the names in contention for a move to the Giallorossi, according to reports from Il Corriere dello Sport (via TUTTOmercatoweb).

The Serbian left winger has gained the reputation of being an impactful player in the ranks of Frankfurt and with his contract expiring in June 2023, the German club will look to cash in on his services instead of seeing him leave for free at the end of next season.

The talented 29-year-old forward has a transfermarkt value of €20m, making him an affordable prospect for many top European clubs.

English Premier League giants West Ham United and Arsenal are also in the race to secure his services, along with Simone Inzaghi’s Inter, who are keen on adding firepower to their already strong frontline. The Nerazzurri are looking for Ivan Perisic’s direct replacement once the Croatian ace leaves Giuseppe Meazza at the end of the current season.
