Roma Hero Lukaku Hails Relationship with Dybala and Mourinho

Romelu Lukaku maintained his scintillating form at the start of his Roma career with another decisive goal against Frosinone. The Chelsea loanee opened the scoring with an unstoppable shot from inside the box, setting the tone for a rare satisfying evening for Giallorossi this season.

Skepticism surrounding his return to Serie A might have only strengthened Lukaku’s will to prove his doubters wrong. Since his first start for Roma in a 7-0 romping of Empoli, the 30-year-old has scored in four out of five appearances for Jose Mourinho’s fleet, all competitions included.

With Roma in dire need of three points following a string of lackluster results, Lukaku embraced the spotlight to carry his side to a precious 2-0 victory. In a similar fashion to his deadlock-breaker against Torino a fortnight ago, he wrestled off his marker before picking out the bottom corner with his potent left foot.

Once again, Paulo Dybala was the architect. Mourinho’s formidable attacking pairing has clicked together from the get-go. And Lukaku believes his ‘strong rapport’ with the Argentine and the manager has contributed to his stellar start to life at Roma.

Yes, we have a strong rapport, the coach knows me very well. I must put myself at the disposal of Roma, and I also want to thank my teammates for helping me from the first day,” Lukaku said, as relayed by TMW.

The team is the most important thing. We are in a difficult position, we all know that, and we must improve both in training and during match situations.
