As per Goal, Justin Kluivert is closing in on a move to Fulham. The winger returned to Italy following the loan spells at RB Leipzig and Nice. He scored 6 times in 31 appearances last season. The Ligue 1 side would have been forced to buy him out if they qualified for the Champions League. They didn’t pick up their option afterward.
Despite the Special One praising the attacker in the past, the club never had any intention of keeping Kluivert on the roster. He should transfer to the Cottagers for a €10M. Roma wish to use the same formula, or loans with an obligation to buy, for other departures too, but it won’t always be possible.
