Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto has a task on his hand, of reinforcing Jose Mourinho squad in two positions – midfield and full-back.
For the likes of the latter, Bayern Munich right-back Buona Sarr has emerged as a potential candidate to give Rick Karsdop a run for his starting place at Stadio Olimpico.
The reports are according to Italian journalist Flavio Tassotti of Teleradiostereo, who mentions that Sarr is liked at Trigoria, but however, Roma’s goal remains Manchester United’s wing-back Diogo Dalot. Nevertheless, Dalot’s transfer is apparently difficult for the Giallorossi to execute, as compared to Sarr.

The versatile ex-Marseille wing-back moved to Bavaria on a four-year deal just over a year ago, on a €8m transfer deal. He has been sparsely used by Julian Nagelsmann – a fate no different to what Sarr experienced under Hansi Flick last season.
He currently has a transfermarkt value of €3m and his relatively low cost could prompt the capital club to strike a deal.
