Roma Intrigued by Milenkovic, Claims Intermediary

Roma are in the market for a new defender, and they are interested in Nikola Milenkovic, but his purchase is unlikely considering his price tag and their lack of resources. Intermediary Angelo Arquilla spoke on the matter to Lady Radio (via OneFootball).

“As far as I know, Roma want Milenkovic, but Fiorentina ask for a lot of money. The capital club isn’t willing to invest a lot for him at the moment.”

The Serb seemed poised to leave in previous windows. However, he decided to tie himself down the Viola long-term, penning a contract till 2027. Vincenzo Italiano played a key role in convincing him.

The transfer market operator also dished on Andrea Belotti.

“I think he would be the ideal reinforcement for the Viola, but everything hinges on the return of Tammy Abraham and the Giallorossi’s intentions. They’d surely want some cash to sell him.”

Rather than weakening it, the Gigliati have been tipped to bolster their rearguard. They are pursuing Finn van Breemen, who’s popular among Serie A sides because his price tag is low, about €3M, La Gazzetta dello Sport relays (via Tuttomercatoweb).

Our Take on Roma and Milenkovic

That’d be the type of defender they’d need to address their needs for a few years rather than cycling through band-aids. However, he won’t depart in January and is probably way too expensive for their struggling finances.
