Roma Keenly Watching Highly-Rated Bodo/Glimt Forward

Roma could have another opportunity to take a close look at Ola Solbakken tonight, whom they might pursue in the future. He has scored three times against them in the two matches in the group stage of the European Conference League. However, he is questionable to play because he is under the weather.

According to Il Tempo (via Calciomercato.com), the winger would be a cheap addition. His contract runs out in December. The Giallorossi could invest €2-3M to sign him this summer. Alternatively, they could wait to get him for free in the winter. His wages are also very reasonable.

Solbakken was impressed during his previous trip to Stadio Olimpico and has Roma atop his list of destinations, La Repubblica informs. The Giallorossi would go after the 23-year-old especially if they parted ways with Carles Perez.

Bodo/Glimt sporting director Aasmund Bjorkman assessed the forward’s future to TeleRadioStereo before the January window: “He is a fantastic player; we love him and would like to keep him here. However, he might decide to raise his level. We do not know when that will happen.”

The Norwegian side’s coach Kjetil Knutsen commented the rumors in the pre-game presser: “The Roma interest in Solbakken is the result of the good performances of the team. They know how much he is worth if they want to acquire him. The sums that have been circulating are too low in my mind.” The attacker has bagged 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 15 appearances this season.
