Roma Lining Up Audacious Move for Juventus Prodigy

Serie A giants Roma are reportedly among the sides queuing up for wantaway Juventus prodigy Matias Soule. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has credited the Giallorossi with a ‘strong interest’ in the Argentine winger, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone.
Juventus are said to be eager to cash in on the 21-year-old despite his outstanding breakout campaign in Serie A. Even though the Canaries suffered relegation to Serie B, the prodigious forward had a phenomenal season, racking up 11 goals and three assists in 36 appearances.
It looks like Roma have noticed Soule’s potential. Daniele De Rossi hopes to strengthen the wings after Stephan El Shaarawy and Paulo Dybala shouldered most of the burden in 2023/24. And Soule would be an exciting option, both for the present and the future.
But Di Marzio claims Roma have yet to take concrete steps to lure the youngster away from Turin. That could change in a blitz, especially with Juventus looking to raise funds for incoming manager Thiago Motta. The only uncertainty is how much would they require to cut their talent loose.
It’s well-documented that Roma can’t spend big this summer. But De Rossi is, nonetheless, desperate to upgrade his current squad. And Soule isn’t the only name linked to a switch to the Stadio Olimpico this summer. Among several high-profile options, the name of Jonathan David stands out.
Roma would have to see off fierce rivals Milan to capture the Canadian’s services. After Romelu Lukaku returned to Chelsea, it wouldn’t be surprising if they allocated most of their budget for a new center-forward.
