Roma Make Steady Progress for Two More Acquisitions

After striking a deal with Nemanja Matic, Roma wish to onboard Zeki Celik and Ola Solbakken next. The Lille fullback has surpassed the other targets for such position. The Giallorossi are also in advanced talks with the Bodo/Glimt winger.

According to Calciomercato, the Italian side is preparing a four-year contract with €2M wages for the Turkish international. They offered €6M to Lille, which asked for €9M. The two sides could easily meet in the middle, Gianluca Di Marzio informs. The 25-year-old would alternate with Rick Karsdorp.

On top of the Celik chase, Roma are working on the Solbakken front. They have reached an agreement on personal terms with the attacker, whose deal expires in December. They will look to leverage that in the negotiation with his side and sign him in the upcoming window rather than on a free in January, the transfer market expert adds. His price tag is low given the circumstances.

Roma might want to sort out some exits before securing these two additions, Alfredo Pedullà reports. While the possible departure of Nicolò Zaniolo will take a while, Carles Perez and Jordan Veretout could be on their way out relatively soon.

Our Take on Roma Eyeing Celik and Solbakken

The Giallorossi are in for another busy summer, although probably not as lavish as the previous one. Celik addresses a need and is arguably overqualified for his supposed future role, while Solbakken showed well in European Conference League and would add quality depth to the Roma frontline for cheap.
