Roma Outcast Favors Milan over Everton and West Ham

Milan continue to be interested in Tammy Abraham, although such a chase has taken a backseat to other deals at the moment. The Rossoneri have brought in Strahinja Pavlovic for the medicals on Tuesday. Emerson Royal should be next, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

There’s only a couple of million between their latest proposal, €14M plus €4M add-ons, and Tottenham’s request, €15M and €5M bonuses. In the same role, Galatasaray have started tracking Davide Calabria, whose contract is up in 2025. The negotiation to renew it hasn’t gone far, but the player is very attached to the club.

Milan have earmarked Abraham as they could further add to their attack after bringing in Alvaro Morata. Roma are very open to selling, but there have been no new contacts between the two clubs for now. The center-forward has okayed the destination. He isn’t considering the Premier League sides that inquired recently, for instance West Ham and Everton.

The Rossoneri had offered Daniel Maldini and Luka Jovic as part of the deal in the most recent conversations, but the capital side quickly rejected them. The former has officially returned to Monza permanently.

Our Take on Milan and Abraham

He had his best season under Paulo Fonseca and he’s fairly different from Alvaro Morata, so there’d be some logic in signing him. However, it’s hard to imagine they’ll be willing to acquire him for something close to the Giallorossi’s request. A swap might have more chances. If it happens, it’ll probably be a late flier on loan once counterparty has grown desperate to offload him.
