Roma Player Ratings vs Fiorentina: Assistant Abraham Stars

Tammy Abraham starred in a fantastic display at the Stadio Olimpico to provide two assists for Paulo Dybala as Roma defeated Fiorentina 2-0 on Sunday.

A Dodo red card for a second bookable offense after just 24 minutes of play changed the game and allowed Roma to ease into the game at a steady pace. Dybala struck in the first half with a good strike after Abraham had displayed some excellent centre-forward play.

Abraham was then able to use his pace to trouble the Fiorentina defense and managed to get in behind in the second half before playing a perfectly weighted pass to Dybala for an easy finish and his second of the night. So, here’s our Roma player ratings for in their 2-0 win over Fiorentina in Serie A action.

Roma: (3-5-2)

Rui Patricio – 6.5

Gianluca Mancini – 7

Looked solid at the back and was rarely troubled throughout, making a number of interceptions and clearances.

Chris Smalling – 6

Booked inside the opening 15 minutes for a cynical foul on Luka Jovic and was good in possession but impressed the least out of the Roma back three.

Marash Kumbulla – 7

Accurate in possession as he came into the left centre-back role for Roger Ibanez. Good display at the back to help keep a clean sheet.

Zeki Celik – 6

Looked to support the attack at points, driving forward down the right-hand side. Gave the ball away poorly in the second half to allow Gonzalez to get the ball in a dangerous position.

Bryan Cristante – 7

Won a couple of challenges in the midfield in his usual role as a ball winner and won the most number of tackles in the match with five. Solid display.

Edoardo Bove – 4

Booked in the second half and the 20-year-old looked a little raw with his performance.

Nicola Zalewski – 7

Paulo Dybala – 7.5

His shot took a slight deflection which helped take it past goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano but he showed good technique nonetheless. Showed some nice flashes at points with good dribbling but lacked a little with his final ball. Doubled Roma’s lead with a simple finish from close range late on.

Tammy Abraham – 8

Displayed strong centre forward play throughout and assisted the opening goal with some good link up play. Could have done better with a chance following an error at the back by Fiorentina in the second half but caused issues all game. Got his second assist of the night after getting in behind the Fiorentina defense, setting up Dybala once more with a good pass across goal. Effective display.
