Roma Sporting Director Pinto Reacts to Igli Tare’s Bold Talk

Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto has reacted to the words of his Lazio counterpart Igli Tare’s regarding claims of Serie A big guns being ‘technically bankrupt’, including Roma. The Biancocelesti sporting director also took a jab at his eternal rivals by commenting that the UEFA Europa Conference League is a cup for losers.

Pinto spoke to DAZN (via Voce Giallorossa) before his side’s 1-0 win over Sampdoria in Genoa and replied to Tare’s words in a sharp manner.

“It does not deserve any reply,” he said.

The Portuguese executive also shed light on Paulo Dybala’s unfortunate quadriceps injury sustained against Lecce, which might rule the Argentine ace out of the World Cup in Qatar.

“In a team like Roma there are injuries and we are sorry for Dybala. He is fine and motivated, let’s see how things go. It’s very positive.”

On the back of their win against Sampdoria, Roma return to action at the Stadio Olimpico against Napoli at the weekend.
