According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the dialogue is well underway and could reach the finish line fairly soon. He’d be one of the few players the Giallorossi could record a ‘plusvalenza’ on, but they’d rather keep him long-term and want to repel surprises and temptations. They plan for him to be their no.1 once they enter their new stadium.
Svilar is currently tied with Roma until 2027 with a €900k salary. The brass plots to hand him a two-year extension and double his wages. Director Florent Ghisolfi addressed the topic in a recent interview.
“His deal will be revisited because he deserves it. His performances have been high level.”
The shot-stopper talked about it to LaRoma24 during the pre-season.
