Roma are no longer signing Kevin Danso as he didn’t pass his medicals and will onboard Tiago Djaló from Juventus instead, who was very available, provided there are no hiccups from the medical standpoint. The Giallorossi would have paid around €25M for the Austrian defender.
Instead, the Portuguese center-back is coming in on loan with a €9M option to buy and €1M add-ons, Sky relays. He reportedly asked out as the Bianconeri were chasing Pierre Kalulu. Djaló will complete his Roma transfer on Friday afternoon, while the Ligue 1 team reacted harshly to the Danso U-turn.

It’s never pleasing when something happens with the physical tests. Hopefully, it’s nothing too serious, but clubs have the right to protect their investments. The Juventus outcast hasn’t been given a chance to prove his worth in Serie A. They sufficed a rotational piece to be whole in the role, provided everybody stays healthy. They’d be ready for a switch to a three-man line with another signing.
