Daniele Rugani is reportedly among the players on West Ham’s transfer shortlist for the January transfer window.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Hammers are looking for defensive reinforcements following injuries to Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna with the former set to be out for months. Rugani is among the players West Ham are monitoring ahead of the upcoming transfer window, the others being Torino’s Gleison Bremer and Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, who would be available for €15m. The Premier League side are looking for a loan deal instead of buying players outright.
Rugani has been anything but a regular for Juventus since joining them. This season, the 27-year-old has made only four appearances across all competitions so far. With the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Matthijs de Ligt present, it seems very unlikely that Rugani will get game time for the Bianconeri.
West Ham have been doing very well in the Premier League so far and getting a defender in January would help their chances of sealing a place in the Top four. A move away from Turin would do well for Rugani and he would receive a decent amount of game time under David Moyes.
