Juventus would have a readymade solution to replace Gleison Bremer, Daniele Rugani, who’s on loan at Ajax with no strings attached. However, his return isn’t likely at this stage. His agent Davide Torchia spoke with Juventusnews24.
“I honestly think that he will continue his adventure at Ajax. I don’t think his comeback is viable not for technical reasons, but because their brass has different ideas.”
The veteran isn’t off to a great start in the Netherlands. He has made just 3 sub appearances for a total of 65 minutes. Ajax and Juventus didn’t include an option to buy. They’ll have to negotiate again for him to stay permanently if the Dutch team wishes to.
The Bianconeri have been linked primarily to Milan Skriniar and Ardian Ismajli to replace Gleison Bremer. Empoli coach Roberto D’Aversa backed his defender in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

They weren’t super deep in the back even after signing Pierre Kalulu, and he probably wouldn’t have pouted if he had a small role like in previous reasons, so the call was made for other reasons. Still, if he keeps riding the bench at Ajax and the officials don’t find somebody they like at an affordable price, a reunion is possible. He’s always been okay with them in recent seasons. The next couple of months will inform the higher-ups and the coach about whether Federico Gatti and Pierre Kalulu form a dependable and stout enough go-to pairing, or if they’ll need to target an elite defender to substitute for their injured ace.
