Juventus will have to trim their squad to make room for a January addition and will consider partying ways with Daniele Rugani. While Weston McKennie has often been indicated as the most likely to leave, the defender is also a candidate.
As per Il Mattino, Salernitana are seeking an experienced center-back and are tracking the Bianconeri backup. They aren’t alone in such respect in Serie A. Spezia, Sampdoria, Empoli, and Lecce could also use a similar player. On the other hand, it’ll be tough for a minnow to match his salary. The Old Lady would most likely have to contribute.
If Juventus offloaded Rugani, they’d target Strahinja Pavlovic, Sportmediaset relays (via Tuttomercatoweb). Roma and RB Leipzig are pursuing the Serbian talent as well. It’d take at least €20M to lure him away from RB Salzburg. Their parent club has an inherent advantage in the race.
The Bianconeri are also keeping tabs on Jakub Kiwior. But they might ultimately go for a flank player rather than a center-back. Danilo and Alex Sandro have been playing in the back three as of late.

These rumors tend to resurface every window, but they materialized just twice when he joined Rennes and then Cagliari, but he made it back to Turin. From a technical and depth standpoint, it’d be better the let go of him rather than McKennie. Federico Gatti hasn’t been markedly better, but at least he has potential. Pavlovic and Kiwior would be ideal additions to build towards a permanent 3-5-2.
