Dia Release Clause Expires, Fiorentina & Co. on High Alert

A handful have already made their interest known to sign Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia, whose release clause of €25M expired on the midnight of July 20. Fiorentina, Milan, and Everton are all in the race to sign the Senegal marksman.

As per Calciomercato, none of the interested aforementioned clubs were willing to activate his clause in a bid to negotiate a lower deal for the player whose contract in Salerno expires in the summer of 2026. Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino, however, is undeterred. He does not intend to budge, instead asking €40M for Dia.

The 26-year-old is in pole position to replace Arthur Cabral at Fiorentina, but the Rossoneri and Everton are active in the transfer race as well. Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio have also emerged as a potential destination for Dia.

Dia lit up Serie A with 16 goals and six assists across 33 league appearances to ensure the Granata’s top-flight survival in 2022/23.
