Sampdoria to Stick to Their Valuation of Mikkel Damsgaard Amid Juventus Links

Sampdoria will stick to their €25m valuation of sought-after winger Mikkel Damsgaard amid speculations about Milan, Inter, and Juventus’ interest. As reported by Calciomercato (via JuveFC.com), the Blucerchiati are looking to make a substantial profit from the youngster’s sale after forking out just €6m to bring him from Nordsjaelland last summer.

Damsgaard came under the spotlight during an impressive breakthrough Serie A season back in 2020/21, but jaw-dropping displays at Euro 2020 fired him to stardom. The 21-year-old winger has hit the headlines following his stunning performance against Russia in Denmark’s final group stage fixture.

He has already lit up the Euros, emerging as one of the tournament’s headline performers as his career continues to gather momentum both on and off the field. Damsgaard has drawn attention towards his burgeoning talent, with Juventus, Milan, and Inter in the running for his signature.

In addition to growing interest from Serie A powerhouses, the Dane has caught the eye of Liverpool and Tottenham. Spurs are particularly interested in snapping up Damsgaard following the appointment of Fabio Paratici, who knows in-depth about Serie A talent.

With a potential tug-of-war on the horizon, Sampdoria have no intention of lowering their asking price. Before Damsgaard’s stellar Euro 2020 performances, the Genoa-based outfit looked for €17m. However, with the Denmark starlet’s explosion this summer, the price has gone up.

Although he is primarily a left-winger, Damsgaard is equally well versed playing on the opposite wing and behind the strikers. Technically gifted with plenty of room for improvement, the young sensation has a bright future ahead of him.

But if Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero refuses to drop his demands, Damsgaard’s future could well be lying abroad.
