Maurizio Sarri is evidently on the verge of creating a legacy at Lazio, having professed his love for the Biancocelesti recently. Despite the disappoint of crashing out of the UEFA Europa Conference League, his side are enroute to play in the Champions League next season, and reinforcements have been identified by the club to arrive in the summer.
Two names – on the opposing ends of the age spectrum – have been taken into consideration to boost the midfield line. As per Calciomercato, sporting director Igli Tare has urged for the free signing of Colombian midfielder Matias Uribe, whose contract with Porto will expire at the end of the season. Lazio will reportedly offer a deal to the player in the coming days, in a three-year contract worth €2M net per season.

Sarri has identified the other player he would like to bring into his squad, Empoli central midfield talent Jacopo Fazzini. The Italy U19 international has been vital to Paolo Zanetti’s side, drawing the attention of top clubs, including Milan. Recently promoted from Empoli Primavera, Massa-born Fazzini has appeared 18 times for the Azzurri this season.
