Sarri Says Lazio Building Team Around Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri has said that he is trying to build the team around midfielders Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

As quoted by Calciomercato, the former Juventus boss said: “Luis Alberto is a very important player. It is no coincidence that the team has been playing well since he started providing a high-level performance. We are trying to set the standard team on Luis Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic. The path was not easy, but it seems that we are on the right path. ”

Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic have both been impressive for Lazio over the past couple of years, thus establishing themselves among the best midfielders in Europe. The former has amassed two goals and four assists in 12 appearances across all competitions while the latter has three goals and four assists in 16 matches so far.

Lazio are currently fifth in the Serie A table with 21 points from 12 matches so far. The Biancocelesti have had a few disappointing results but are gradually getting back on track. They still have a very good chance of finishing in the top four.

Lazio host Juventus on Saturday and the fixture promises to be an exciting one.
