Ahead of the Biancocelesti’s fixture within the Europa League Midtjylland, Lazio boss Sarri gave his insight of the fixture in a press conference.
Within the reverse fixture, it was the Danish outfits who dismantled Lazio in a 5-1 victory over the Serie A giants. A horrific defensive display saw Sarri’s side go down by two goals under the half hour mark.
As it stands within Group F, all teams are currently level possessing five points each, making it crucial to win within the remaining two match-weeks of the Group Stage.
While speaking to the media, as relayed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarri provided his perspective of how his team will turn up to the vital match:
“The match in Bergamo cannot be replicated at the Olimpico because the terrain is not the same. Lazio will still have to try to give their best. “Mentally strong teams always have great motivations. A performance like the one with Atalanta may also have been occasional. We were playing in an important stadium, with many people, against a great team. We will be fully mature when we perform the same performance even against a lesser known opponent and in a semi-deserted stadium.”
