Sassuolo risk being pillaged by the top teams in the next transfer market window. Their CEO Giovanni Carnevali commented the rumors, starting with Giacomo Raspadori’s links to Juventus: “They asked for him late last summer, but there was not enough time to negotiate, and they signed Moise Kean instead. I have not talked directly with them lately, but I heard those whispers.”
The executive gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport: “We would be prepared if the Bianconeri came forward. I wait for them with open arms since we have an excellent relationship with their directors. However, they would have to open up the wallet to get him. The starting price tag for any of our stars is €30M, and then we take it case by case. We tend to sell only those that can be adequately replaced.”
“The Sassuolo player that is drawing the most interest on the transfer market is actually Maxime Lopez. They asked for him in Italy and abroad. We could let him go only after we found a proper substitute. Domenico Berardi is our champion and symbol. He could have left last season, but Fiorentina’s offer was not even worth considering. He would be perfect for Milan, and he would be my top choice if I were leading a top Italian club.”
“Inter have inquired about Gianluca Scamacca, but he has a ton of offers from foreign teams, even from the Premier League. He can grow a lot more and maybe would need to stay another year with us. The same goes for Davide Frattesi, as it took him a while to break out. His skills are evident now. Hamed Traoré has fully blossomed this season. Napoli and some English clubs are after him. We wish to keep them all, but it is impossible.”
