Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed a bombshell, indicating that Neroverdi prodigy Giacomo Raspadori might see his career develop in another country and not Italy.
Carnevali, who has played a pivotal role in the emergence of Sassuolo as a feeder club for Azzurri giants, also believes it is final-day adversaries Milan who have better chances of grabbing the Scudetto title.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sport (via FCInterNews), the chief executive shared his thoughts on a couple of matters and one of them was Raspdori’s future.
“For the moment I have not sold him, I also hope to be able to keep him. I think today, as is the Italian market, it is difficult. There are not many possibilities from the economic point of view, the Premier League is perhaps more feasible,” he revealed regarding the young striker’s future.
When quizzed regarding the Scudetto fight, Carnevali believes Milan will be rightful winner of the championship title.
He said: “It’s a good question, we’re playing the last one with Milan. As far as the last few days are going, the Rossoneri are favorites. They have a few more chances, Inter will play against Cagliari and it won’t be easy. I see Milan as the favorite.”
Milan travel to Sassuolo in the final day of the league as they sit just 2 points ahead of eternal rivals Inter. But they will first have to tackle Atalanta at home.
