Sassuolo Chief Rejects Inter’s Advances in January for Talented Duo

Inter have been long-linked with talented Sassuolo duo Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca and a move for either of them from the Nerazzurri’s end was expected during the upcoming winter January transfer window.

However, Neroverdi CEO Giovanni Carnevali claims that he doesn’t expect either of the strikers to part ways come January.

Having experienced the departure of Manuel Locatelli to Juventus in summer, Carnevali is keen on keeping the aforementioned duo atleast until the end of the current season.

Speaking to Tuttospor (via Sempre Inter), the club’s chief executive commented: “It’s true, I talked about both with Marotta, but not with Juventus’ Cherubini, at least for now. They certainly won’t move in January. We’ll see in the summer. The principle is the same: we are ready to sell our jewels to the big clubs, but only if the offers are satisfactory.”

Juventus are also said to be interested in the strike duo but as Carnevali mentioned, no talks have been held between the two clubs. Inter CEO Marotta has reportedly already enquired regarding the players’ statuses.
