Sassuolo Coach Dionisi Not Settling with Good Performances

Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi looked back at the bitter loss to Roma in the presser before facing Torino: “We did well in that game. We treasure our performance and our awareness. However, we can not be content. If we play well, we also need to get the result. You can always improve. We have a lot of quality up front.”

“A coach can not take stock after three matches, as there are several factors that go into the assessment. There are too many variables to draw the line now. Sassuolo changed the coach and a few players. We are doing different things than in the past now. We keep the ball a little less and try more vertical passes, but that is also a product of what is going on in a game. You can not field all the attackers at the same time, as you also need balance.”

“Torino are a strong team with important players. They are coming off a subpar season considering their value. The work of Ivan Juric is starting to show. They will be a very tough opponent for Sassuolo due to their style.”

“Everybody is available but Pedro Obiang and Filippo Romagna. We could tweak some things but nothing major. I always take it one match at a time. When I came here, I was most impressed by the mentality of Sassuolo. You can always hang onto that when you are in trouble. I am also surprised by how many fans are following us, which is the nicest thing to me.”
