Sassuolo Eye Orsolini to Replace Juve Target Berardi

As Juventus continue to make waves for Domenico Berardi, the Neroverdi management are hunting for replacements who can fill the shoes of their longtime hero. Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini, once targeted by Lazio and Napoli, has emerged as a potential target for Giovanni Carnevali and company.

29-year-old Berardi probably has the last chance to move away to a bigger club this summer window after links died down with Lazio. He could now make the most of the opportunity by moving to the Bianconeri.

According to SassuoloNews, the Neroverdi have the chance to replace Berardi with Orsolini, perhaps even before sending the EURO 2020 winner away. Orsolini has long been liked by the Sassuolo management, and the prospect of signing could turn into a reality depending on how the talks with his agent progress.

Yet, if Sassuolo wish to sign him, they will need to accelerate their stance, given Fulham have already opened talks with Bologna for the winger’s services.

Orsolini was touted to sign a contract extension at Bologna at the end of last month, however, no positive talks have materialized between the player’s entourage and the Rossoblù. He will become a free agent in a year’s time.
