Sassuolo Planning to Be Buyers and Not Sellers in January

Sassuolo will receive some offers for their stars in January. However, they fully intend to hold onto them at least until June. The slow start compared to the Roberto De Zerbi era will not change the usual modus operandi of the club. They have never parted ways with their top contributors midway through the season.

Fiorentina have continued to track Domenico Berardi. And they would also target Gianluca Scamacca should they manage to cash in on Dusan Vlahovic. But Sassuolo will not facilitate their exits, Tuttomercatoweb reports. That will be the case also for Jeremie Boga. His time in Emilia appears to be nearing its end, but he will most likely play out the current campaign.

Giacomo Raspadori is considered untouchable by the management. CEO Giovanni Carnevali reiterated several times that they want to keep him amid the Inter interest. Roma might try to bring back the early-season revelation Davide Frattesi, but the Neroverdi will stonewall them.

On the other hand, Sassuolo would like to add at least a couple of pieces to the squad. Kaan Ayhan might be on his way out in the back. He was signed for cheap and is not an integral player. Besiktas are after him, and the front office could decide to cash in. Then, they would then be on the lookout for a new defender. They are also searching for a physical midfielder as the roster lacks somebody with size in the area. Pedro Obiang has missed every game thus far due to pneumonia.
