Sassuolo Prolong Frattesi Contract, Line Up More Extensions

Sassuolo announced to have renewed the contract of Davide Frattesi. The midfield is now tied to the club until 2026 and received a sizeable pay bump. The Neroverdi are plotting to do the same thing with Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori in short order, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The salary of the 22-year-old nearly doubled, rising from €400k to €700k. The striker will receive the same treatment. The parties have already shaken hands, and the announcement is imminent, the publication informs. The pacey attacker is next in line, as his current deal would expire in 2024.

Sassuolo gain leverage in the transfer market talks thanks to extensions handed to Frattesi, Scamacca, and Raspadori. Inter are eyeing all three, Milan are pursuing the center-forward, while the Euro winner is on Juventus’ radar and received some inquiries from the Premier League too. Roma and Napoli are also keeping tabs on the box-to-box.

The Neroverdi will have to make the call on whom to sell this summer. They are highly unlikely to be able to keep all three. Domenico Berardi has plenty of suitors as well. The Emilian side rebuffed them all so far.

Their CEO Giovanni Carnevali suggested that they plan to part ways with just one linchpin each summer. They are in a more precarious spot than in the past, as they have four hot commodities now. It is not yet clear whom Sassuolo will decide to cash in on among Frattesi, Scamacca, and Raspadori. The marksman seems the most likely candidate.
