Sassuolo Set to Bring In Norwegian Talent to Replace Boga

Sassuolo have found the first substitute for Jeremie Boga, but he might not be their only addition. They have sealed the deal to acquire Emil Konradsen Ceide from Rosenborg. The speedy attacker will fly to Italy and take the medicals Friday, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

The Neroverdi will pay €3M for the 20-year-old. The newcomer shares some traits with their ace, who will soon finalize his move to Atalanta. He is a right-footed attacker that can feature on the left-wing. The Emilian side bested Galatasaray in the race to sign him. They got him for relatively cheap since his contract would have expired in June.

The Norwegian forward, who has Haitian origins, has been a regular in the past two seasons. He has notched 10 goals and 18 assists in 82 appearances with Rosenborg. He has hit the net twice and set up two teammates in seven matches in the European Conference League playoffs.

Sassuolo might not be done spending and could purchase somebody with Serie A experience to further replace Boga. According to the site, they have opened talks with Empoli for Nedim Bajrami. Lazio are also pursuing the inventive midfielder. The Azzurri would rather hold onto him and cash in at the end of the season, though.

The Neroverdi are in the mix for Manchester United’s Amad Diallo too. However, the former Atalanta prodigy will only transfer on loan. He reportedly prefers to join another English club, probably a Championship one, to gain experience rather than head back to Italy.
