Saudi Teams Trying to Lure Another Lazio Centerpiece

After losing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Lazio face the risk of partying ways with Ciro Immobile as well since he has received a very wealthy bid from Al-Wehda. The Biancocelesti would be forced to go back to the drawing board after finally finding a proper deputy in Taty Castellanos.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Saudi club proposed a three-year, €60M contract to the striker. Al Shabab are keen too. The 33-year-old is mulling it carefully. He hasn’t looked at ease in the first few days of the pre-season retreat in Auronzo.

President Claudio Lotito downplayed the interest from Al-Wehda for Immobile, but he had done the same in the early stages of Milinkovic-Savic’s departure too, though.

“Nobody told me anything yet.”

The president previously indicated that he wouldn’t sell the captain even for €50M. However, it’s tough to estimate a 33-year-old. Should a concrete bid arrive, it would be weighed. At that point, the Biancocelesti would be in the market for a new striker. They had previously considered Basel’s Zeki Amdouni, Giovanni Simeone, and Boulaye Dia.

Our Take on Immobile and Al-Wehda

His exit would be way more understandable than Milinkovic-Savic, who’s still in the prime of his career. But it remains to be seen whether the capital side will have the stomach to sign off on another key departure, even though it’d make sense financially.
