Former Inter marksman Christian ‘Bobo’ Vieri thinks Lionel Messi has earned the title of being the greatest forward of all time, ahead of legends such as Diego Maradona and Ronaldo Nazario.
Speaking to Corriere della Sera (via TuttoNapoli), the ex-Atletico and Juventus striker shed light on the debate about the world’s greatest.
“I put Messi in front of Maradona and Inter’s Ronaldo. You can disagree if you want.”
At the same time, Vieri spoke of the success he has experienced with his own online program – Bobo TV, which has gained popularity over the years since the start of the pandemic.
“It was born during the lockdown to pass the time live on Instagram: chatting freely with friends, anecdotes, fooling around. 70/80 thousand people were watching it. Then we moved on to Twitch, a gaming platform. Boom, Bobo TV exploded: 2/300 thousand people per episode. I had Pep Guardiola and Roberto Mancini as guests, with Ronaldo we made a million contacts. It works because the debate is always fair. And people appreciate it. We will start holding live shows in theathers: we have requests from all over Italy and parts of Europe.”
Vieri finished his career with 236 goals from 476 appearances, mainly spent in Serie A with clubs such as Atalanta, Juventus, Inter, Fiorentina, and Lazio.
