As the battle between Napoli and Juventus continues, this past weekend was characterized by a few good old controversies sparked by referee decisions. A handball by Patrick Cutrone paved the way for Milan’s victory over Lazio. Referee Paolo Mazzoleni punished a slight contact in Bologna’s box with a penalty for Napoli, but omitted to do the same when Kalidou Koulibaly blocked a shot with his hand. Walter Zenga was furious at VAR cancelling a late goal for his Crotone, due to a doubtful offside.
A for ability to kick a striker! Belec, a goalie who lost his mind, deserved a red card!
B for brilliant game, as Oddo and Berhami gave Udinese 3 important points.
C for continuity: Third game with Mazzarri on their bench, and 7 points in for Torino!
D for demonstration against Fiorentina by their supporters. What a chaotic day for the Viola!
E for exciting duel between Napoli and Juventus…Hopefully till the end of the season! Spectacular! Napoli answers back to Juventus, and remains the leading team!
F for fantastic start in Serie A for Vukovic. First game, and already a goal for the new Hellas Verona defender.
G for Gattuso effect, as Milan captured their third win in the last three games! #MilanLazio 2-1
H for handcuffs. No words to describe a stupid gesture like the one made by Cacciatore in Chievo-Juventus. What was he thinking about? A fair red card!
I for interpretation, hand-foul or not hand-foul, that is the question! But the real problem is the need of a clearer rule!
