Deadline day in Serie A probably will not have many crazy deals, but teams will finalize a host of acquisitions. The window will officially close at 8 pm local time. The post will be updated throughout the day with all the official announcements. Few were issued late yesterday. The biggest one was Atalanta perfecting their never-ending chance of Teun Koopmeiners. Milan had long sealed the deal for Tiemoué Bakayoko.

Udinese have signed 19-year-old right-back Brandon Soppy from Rennes for €2M to add depth to the position. They also bid farewell to the once highly touted backup goalie Simone Scuffet, who transferred to APOEL. Spezia added veteran Mehdi Bourabia from Sassuolo to their paper-thin midfield. The Neroverdi parted ways with another reserve, Lukas Haraslin, who has joined Sparta Prague. Venezia brought in a versatile piece from Lazio in Sofian Kiyine, who was at Salernitana last season.

8.40 am: Juventus kicked off the day by announcing the terms of the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United will pay a €15M fee in five-year installments plus €8M potential add-ons. The transfer generated a €14M negative impact in the 2020-2021 balance sheets, the club states.

9.10 am: Juventus have officially brought back Moise Kean.

11.10 am: Spezia have loaned last season’s starter Luca Vignali to Como. Salernitana have shipped striker Julian Kirstoffersen to Cosenza, while they have welcomed young center-back Filippo Delli Carri from Juventus U-23 with the same formula.

12.14 pm: Juventus have temporarily sent Filippo Ranocchia to Vicenza, Atalanta have done the same with Enrico Del Prato, who will play at Parma.

1.57 pm: Federico Di Francesco is back in Serie A after one season in the second division. Empoli signed him on loan with option to buy from SPAL. He previously played at Bologna. Giovanni Crociata and Kevin Piscopo will take the opposite route and join the Estensi.

2.47 pm: Andrea Favilli is leaving Genoa and Serie A. The journeyman will spend at least the next season on loan to Monza. The Brianzoli finally managed to bring in a striker from the top league after chasing after multiple targets.

2.54 pm: Salernitana have put under contract the young striker Edoardo Vergani after he was released by Inter.

3.15 pm: Sassuolo have further bolstered the midfield, which lost Manuel Locatelli. On top of Matheus Henrique, they bought Abderrahman Harroui from Sparta Rotterdam. He tallied 10 goals and 12 assists in the last two seasons in Eredivisie.

3.35 pm: Inter have finalized the departure of Valentino Lazaro, who transferred to Benfica on a season-long loan.

3.54 pm: Juventus have announced the capture of Mohamed Ittaren, who will play at Sampdoria in the 2020-2021 season.

4.05 pm: Torino have begun answering to the desperate plea for reinforcement made by Ivan Juric by purchasing David Zima from Slavia Praha. The Czech center-back has won two domestic titles and has two caps with his national team.

4.40 pm: Cagliari have brought in another defender in Raoul Bellanova. The former Milan product, who was sold to Atalanta and Bordeaux in recent years, played at Pescara last season. He can play as right-back or center-back.

5.30 pm: Juventus youngster Radu Dragusin, who seemed bound to join Cagliari too in recent days, is going to Sampdoria on loan.

5.34 pm: Spezia have added two more strikers to their frontline: David Strelec and Rej Manaj. The former logged 18 goals and 7 assists in 70 matches switch Slovan Bratislava. The latter is heading back to Italy after four seasons in Spain. He played at Barcelona B in the most recent two, registering 16 goals in 30 appearances.

5.43 pm: Multiple Serie A teams tried to woo him, but Sam Lammers will play at Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Atalanta in 2021-2022 season.

5.59 pm: Torino continue their strong deadline day by signing Dennis Praet, who flourished at Sampdoria, from Leicester City. He appeared in over 106 matches with the Blucerchiati before moving the Premier League, where he amassed 42 appearances and scored twice.

6.49 pm: Empoli are switching their back-up goalies as Alberto Brignoli has joined Panathinaikos. He will be replaced by Samir Ujkani.

6.50 pm: Napoli officially announced the arrival of André Frank Zambo Anguissa from Fulham.

7.01 pm: Another young signing from Spezia, which acquired defender Jakub Kiwior from Zilina.

7.32 pm: Venezia have acquired another young American in Jack De Vries, while Verona perfected the rumored signing of Gianluca Caprari from Sampdoria.

8 pm: Cagliari have finally found the striker they were looking for in Balde Keita, who had a pretty strong season at Sampdoria last season.

8.01 pm: two new defenders for Salernitana, which signed veteran Riccardo Gagliolo from Parma, whom Fabrizio Castori already coached at Carpi, and youngster Luca Ranieri on loan from Fiorentina.

8.02 pm: Lazio managed to come to terms with Mattia Zaccagni, adding him on a season-long loan with conditioned obligation to buy from Verona.

8.13 pm: another international purchase for Venezia, which captured Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea. He spent the last three seasons at RB Leipzig and Sheffield United.

8.25 pm: Torino finish off their transfer market window by signing Josip Brekalo from Wolfburg.

8.25 pm: Sassuolo did hold onto their young strikers, but they did sell one striker on deadline day. Francesco Caputo has moved to Sampdoria, where he will form an old-fashioned tandem with Fabio Quagliarella. The Neroverdi make room for their young guns Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca with the move.

8.33 pm: Spezia continue to bring in attackers, and they officially reached agreement with Genoa for the return, on a straight loan, of Kevin Agudelo. They also added Eddie Salcedo on loan.

8.36 pm: Genoa put together a trifecta of signings: Felipe Caicedo and Mohamed Fares from Lazio and midfielder Abdoulaye Touré from Nantes.

8.40 pm: Udinese acquired striker Beto from Portimonense, Venezia left-back Ridgeciano Haps from Feyenoord.
