The Cult of Calcio gladly welcomes you to its latest edition of the Serie A Transfer Market Roundup. While the English Premier League fans and La Liga lovers spent their weekend watching actual football, Serie A fans were more interested in tracking Spezia’s latest transfer deals, and luckily for you we have all the most recent Italian calciomercato news stacked in one awkward article.

The big news of the weekend came from Roma, as former captain Alessandro Florenzi left the eternal city towards the City of Love, as he joined the likes of Neymar, Mbappé, and Verratti at PSG.

Some better news for the Giallorossi fans came from England, as Man United’s Chris Smalling is set to rejoin Roma in the next coming days, while goalkeeper Robin Olsen could be heading in the opposite direction towards Watford.

The new Roma owners, Friedkin Group, have seemingly inserted some cash for the transfer funds, as the capital club is again being linked with Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik, which poses questions related to the future of current captain Eden Dzeko.

On the other hand, their city rivals Lazio are having a much calmer transfer market, but have finally set to land Fenerbahce’s Vedat Muriqi and could be doing the same with SPAL’s Mohamed Fares very soon.

In Northern Italy, Juventus are still struggling to finalize the transfer of Luis Suarez as the Barcelona striker is still working on earning an Italian passport, and a host of forwards have been mentioned as alternatives, including Alvaro Morata, Moise Kean, Milik, Eden Dzeko, and even Chelsea’s Oliver Giroud.

Antonio Conte is still trying to sign a midfield enforcer for Inter, but his attempts to buy his former Chelsea player N’Golo Kante have been fruitless so far. And although Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri has been mentioned as a possible target, Arturo Vidal is expected to leave Barcelona in the next coming days and reunite with his old Juventus boss.

In other Nerazzurri news, Conte is reportedly tracking another of his Chelsea favorites as he’s looking to further bolster his left flank with Marcos Alonso. Meanwhile, Inter’s defense is seemingly being revamped with Diego Godin‘s rumored transfer towards Cagliari and Milan Skriniar being linked with PSG as a replacement for Thiago Silva.

Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso seems to be Antonio Conte’s latest Premier League infatuation. Will the Inter boss manage to bring him to Serie A in this transfer market session?

On the other side of the city, Milan are reportedly engaged in a transfer battle against French side Monaco for the signature of Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis. Meanwhile, Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic is heading towards the exit door at Milanello, with Freiburg and Sampdoria mentioned as possible destinations, and Lucas Paquetá could be departing towards Lyon.

Also in Lombardy, Atalanta fans will be delighted with the news of their Captain Papu Gomez rejecting a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia. La Dea are set to bolster Gasperini’s squad with the signing of PSV Eindhoven forward Sam Lammers, while Schalke talent Amine Harit has also been mentioned on the club’s wishlist.

In Florence, Borja Valero is set to rejoin the side that initially introduced him to Italian football, as Fiorentina’s midfield is looking deeper than ever (Amrabat and Bonaventura also joined the club during the summer). On the other hand, Marco Benassi will be leaving the Viola in order to Join Hellas Verona.

In Liguria, Genoa have been extremely active in the last couple of days, securing the signatures of Roma’s Rick Karsdorp and Fenerbahce’s Miha Zajc, as well as swapping their young striker Andrea Favilli with Verona’s Mariusz Stępiński. The Grifone are also said to be in the race to sign England international Left-Back Dany Rose, while also being close to securing Atalanta midfielder Filippo Melegoni.

In other news, Bologna manager Sinisa Mihajlovic is asking his club to sign him a new striker, as Diego Falcinelli has been loaned out to Red Star Belgrade, while Torino have reportedly rejected an approach by José Mourinho’s Spurs to buy their Captain and main star Andrea Belotti.

And yet again, Serie A’s newest side Spezia have been one of the Transfer Market’s most active sides, with circulating reports claiming that Man City legend Yaya Toure has offered his services to the minnows. But their more concrete targets include Torino defender Koffi Djidji, AEK Athens’ Daniele Verde and Genoa’s Kevin Agudelo.
