Serie B Outfit Sudtirol Plan to Onboard Juve Starlet Barbieri

Juventus U23 right-back Tommaso Barbieri is being eyed by a Serie B club in view of a move this winter transfer window. The highly-rated right defender was recently promoted to the first-team under Massimiliano Allegri, but continues to star for Juventus Next Gen in Serie C – Group A.

As per latest developments reported by Calciomercato, Juventus have been targeted by Bolzano-based Sudtirol. The South Tyrol team are eager to bolster their defence and Barbieri’s addition would mean welcoming a promising right flanker who has impressed the Bianconeri management so far.

The class of 2002 made his debut for Juventus in this season’s UEFA Champions League Group H defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, appearing in the final minutes. However, he has been made to wait by Allegri for making his Serie A debut.

Juventus consider Barbieri highly within their ranks, and thus could boost his development by sending him out on loan, perhaps for the second half of the season. A jump from Serie C to Serie B would also mean a bigger challenge for the youngster.
