Benjamin Sesko was pursued by Milan in the past, and their interest hasn’t waned, as he’s reportedly one of their top targets for next summer. His agent Elvis Basanovic spoke to Sportitalia.
“I can confirm that I already spoke with Milan about Sesko when Paolo Maldini was at the helm. However, his transfer wasn’t possible at the time. It wasn’t the right moment. You never know what could happen in the future. They are a great club. Sesko is very comfortable at RB Leipzig, where he’s continuing his growing process.”
According to Calciomercato, finding a young center-forward has become the top priority for the Rossoneri. Milan have four of five candidates in their crosshairs, and Sesko is among them.
The marksman has bagged 6 goals in 12 appearances this season. The legend met Basanovic in 2022 when he was at RB Salzburg, but the deal didn’t come to fruition.
The Rossoneri would have to spend a lot more than in the past to snap him up in 2024. His price tag has easily doubled. The Bundesliga outfit wants no less than €45/50M.
Moreover, the presence of a few fearsome foes further clouds the picture for Milan and their Sesko chase. Arsenal and Chelsea in particular are eyeing him, and they have a better connection with Red Bull.
