Several Serie A Benches Set to Change at Season’s End

Serie A is headed for an extra busy coaching carousel at the end of the season. Very few coaches are certain to stay put: Simone Inzaghi, Gian Piero Gasperini, and Igor Tudor, who recently took over Lazio, Tuttomercatoweb informed.

Stefano Pioli’s confirmation is gaining steam, but it’s not sure yet. Massimiliano Allegri seemed a lock a couple of months ago, but that’s no longer the case. Napoli will move on from Francesco Calzona at the end of his short-term deal. Instead, Daniele De Rossi is highly likely to continue on the Roma bench. However, his contract presently expires at the conclusion of the campaign. Vincenzo Italiano is approaching the end of his Fiorentina run.

The future of a few Serie A benches is uncertain because their current owners will have the chance to level up, or at least they kept their hands free to try to do so. That’s the case for Bologna’s Thiago Motta, Monza’s Raffaele Palladino, and Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino.

Ivan Juric is having a solid season with Torino, but his salary is conspicuous. He and the club haven’t always been on the same page. Qualifying for a European cup would help his case.

Instead, as far as the lower portion of the Serie A standings is concerned, the faith of almost every gaffer hinges on avoiding relegation. Some might not make it to the last matchday. Others wouldn’t necessarily be confirmed even if they saved their team.
