Juventus see Simeone as Alvaro Morata’s successor, with the Spaniard currently set to return to Atletico Madrid next season under Giovanni’s father Diego at the Wanda Metropolitano. Although, the Bianconeri are still trying to retain him. Instead, Arsenal have shortlisted Simeone as Alexandre Lacazette’s direct replacement, who is leaving at the end of his expiring contract.

However, it is the presence of a third interested suitor that spices things up. According to TuttoJuve, Sevilla sporting director Monchi believes Simeone is the right man to strengthen their frontline as they search for domestic and European resurgence next season after a subpar 2021/22.
Cagliari, his parent club who were relegated to Serie B, are bound to be shelled by offers in the summer. Despite Hellas Verona’s intention of activating their buyout clause for €15M, offers from bigger clubs will undoubtedly be more lucrative and alluring. The Sardinians will not accept anything under the €20M mark – a number all of the aforementioned clubs can afford.
