Skriniar Eager to Add Titles to His Belt Ahead of PSG Move

Inter defender Milan Skriniar was awarded he Slovakian footballer of 2022 for his achievements. The Paris Saint-Germain bound stopper is playing out his last season in the Nerazzurri colors, as he prepares to switch to the French capital come summer. However, Inter are still in contention for one last trophy this campaign – in the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking to the press (via FCInterNews), Skriniar reflected on his recent accomplishments with Inter, including the Supercoppa Italiana title against Milan back in January.

“It was nice to win the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia with Inter last year, it was a great result. We already managed to win the Supercoppa again this year, which is fantastic, so I’m happy to add more trophies to my wall. So far I haven’t won many, but I hope they will continue to grow.”

He also disclosed his happiness on equaling Martin Skrtel on the national front after winning the Slovakian footballer of the year award.

“It is important to have as few health problems as possible so that things can work out on the pitch. It makes me really happy to win this award for the fourth time in a row, I equaled a Slovakian football legend like Martin Skrtel. We will see what happens in the future.”

Skriniar is bound to join PSG ahead of the 2023/24 season, but will count his chances in the UCL, with Benfica awaiting his side in the last eight.
