After big problems at the position in previous years, there’s now a logjam. The Biancocelesti legend has to compete with Mateo Retegui, Giacomo Raspadori, and Gianluca Scamacca. It’s unlikely that all four will be in the squad. Plus, Andrea Pinamonti has done well early. Moise Kean is also always in consideration.
The choice could come down to fitness. Immobile and the Napoli attacker are currently the healthiest. The Genoa newcomer suffered a knee bruise in the past game. The problem isn’t too serious, but he’s a question mark for the upcoming Milan clash and the Italy games.
