Spezia Coach “Would Not Sign for a Tie” in Sassuolo Game

The Spezia boss Thiago Motta spoke about their upcoming game against Sassuolo in a press conference on Thursday. The game will take place tomorrow evening at 6:45 PM CET at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia. The Aquilotti won their last game against Cagliari, another team who is fighting to remain in the Serie A.

Thiago Motta commented on his men’s performance that led to the win: “I am really happy because in the last game they played seriously, with responsibility, they knew the importance of the game and they faced it in the best way possible. I am happy because of the way they played, not just for the victory.

About the clash against Sassuolo, he said: “They are a great team, they demonstrated it throughout the championship.  I believe in my team, we can face them with balance. Today we will finish the preparation, we will see tomorrow how it will go. We will focus on the defensive and offensive phases. I would not sign for a tie.”

About his players and the positive condition of Rey Manaj: “They all give their best and I know I can count on them, for me they could all be starting players. Everything Manaj did until now was upon his merit. In the beginning, he did not play a lot but then he earned his starting position through his hard work. He can be important in all the phase of a game, as with Cagliari. He must be consistent.”
