Spinazzola Agent Not Pressuring Roma for New Contract

Leonardo Spinazzola has been occasionally tipped to leave Roma in January since his contract expires at the end of the season, but he appears to be willing to play out the final year of his deal without rushing a decision about his future. His agent Davide Lippi talked to Tuttomercatoweb.

“He’s doing well, and I think he’s a productive player. The whole team is struggling in general. They have suffered in some matches, but he’s strong and high-caliber. He’s still young as he’s 31 and can have an important career ahead of him. His contract is about to run out. We’ll see what he’ll do next season. He’ll have many opportunities.”

There’s still a chance Spinazzola re-ups with Roma.

“The topic is premature at the moment. The player is very serene. He’s unbothered given his age. He plays and gives his best for Roma. There’ll be time for the rest. He’s naturally drawing a lot of attention considering the situation.”

Lippi dished on Juventus and Milan’s plans for January.

“I think Cristiano Giuntoli will aim at young players. They won’t make many additions. It’s a delicate window. It’d be a problem to upset the balances in the locker room, unless there are numerical and technical needs.”

“The Rossoneri could purchase a striker. They are after Jonathan David, but it’d take a sizeable investment. But signing him could be key for them to qualify for the Champions League.”
