Napoli have struck a deal with Leonardo Spinazzola, who left Roma as a free agent a few days ago. The signing will be announced in a matter of days. The veteran defender will sign a two-year contract. He’ll make €3M plus add-ons, mostly based on how much he plays, Sky informs.
The fullback moved to the Giallorossi from in 2019 in a partial swap. He has collected 151 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 21 assists. Despite some routine muscular injuries, he features 36 times in the most recent campaigns.
Thanks to the addition of Spinazzola, Napoli will be able to cash in on Mario Rui, who has some Portuguese suitors, or alternatively use Mathias Olivera as braccetto, depending on how their other negotiations go.
