Suitors Lining Up for Juventus Loanee on His Way Back

Dejan Kulusevski has yet to formally return to Juventus, but a few teams have already taken an interest. The Bianconeri could consider him expendable again, as they did in January 2022, when they shipped him off to Tottenham on an 18-month loan.

According to Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb), the Old Lady could offer him to Lazio as part of the package to lure Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Biancocelesti have set a €40M price tag for their ace. The only offer so far has come from their Serie A rivals but stopped at €25M.

Kulusevski and Luca Pellegrini could be used to sweeten the pot if the star midfielder wanted to move to Turin. Coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly appreciates the ex-Parma prodigy, but he’s looking for different types of players. In addition, the Spurs attacker makes €3.5M per year, which is a bit high for the capital side.

The winger has some fans in Spain as well. According to Sport (via FootballNews24), Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are keen. However, Juventus want €35M to sell the 23-year-old, the same sum Tottenham could still pay to acquire him even if their obligation to buy lapsed. The Nervionenses prefer a loan with option to buy.

Our Take on Kulusevki

He’d certainly make more sense under Sarri than under Massimiliano Allegri. His valuation should stay robust, potentially generating interesting trades, unless the Old Lady is scarred by the whole plusvalenze affair. Since Angel Di Maria will be with them for at most another season, keeping him and trying to make it work might be the choice with the most upside.
