Suitors Lining Up for Two Inter and Juventus Youngsters

Kristjan Asllani and Nicolò Fagioli were hoping for bigger roles following their summer decisions, but that hasn’t been the case. Inter signed the starlet from Empoli to back up Marcelo Brozovic. However, Simone Inzaghi has mostly adapted Hakan Calhanoglu after the starter went down with an injury. The ex-Cremonese loanee re-upped with Juventus but has rarely seen the pitch.

As per Tuttomercatoweb, multiple Italian sides would like to bring in the two midfielders in January. On the other hand, despite some rumors, it’s not truthful that the Albanian starlet directly asked out to play more.

Empoli are keen on both Asllani and Fagioli. Sassuolo, Torino, and Spezia inquired about the former; Sassuolo, Cremonese, and Salernitana are pursuing the latter. Inter are unlikely to let go of their prospect, while there are better chances it will happen for the Juventus one.

The Nerazzurri onboarded the 20-year-old on a €4M loan with a €10M obligation to buy. They would have to activate it early to reroute him temporarily elsewhere. The Italian playmaker agreed to an extension until 2026 with the Bianconeri, which wasn’t a certainty early on, but he has played just 59 minutes.

Our Take on Asllani and Fagioli

It’s highly unlikely that La Benemata will greenlight the departure due to the formula of his previous transfer and because they aren’t very deep in the midfield. While unfortunate, he will have to wait for his opportunities. Instead, the 21-year-old is almost a lock to switch teams and was probably sold a bill of goods by the management. It’s not easy to deploy youngsters in trying times. The old-fashioned Massimiliano Allegri filled his quota with Fabio Miretti, who isn’t getting much action recently either.
