Wojciech Szczesny is on his way out as Juventus will go with Michele Di Gregorio between the sticks. Monza and Al-Nassr are battling to capture him. The Bianconeri have to help the Brianzoli as far as the wages are concerned for the move to come together. The Pole talked about his future on YouTube’s show Foot Truck TV (via Fantacalcio).
“Loyalty means a lot to me. Therefore, if I sign a two-year contract, it signifies that I know exactly what I will do in that timeframe. The same goes if it’s a four or ten-year one. Szczesny has been with Juventus since 2017 and has amassed 252 appearances, keeping 103 clean sheets and contributing to three Scudetto, three Coppa Italia, and two Supercoppa. He was named the best goalie in Serie A once in 2019/2020.
According to Calciomercato, Al-Nassr offered €20M per year to the veteran goalie. He’d reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo in that case. While he could end up there without credible alternatives, he’d like to stay in Italy if possible. Monza have shown interest, and CEO Adriano Galliani has gotten to work. The discussions with the Old Lady regarding the fee for the Szczesny transfer and his salary have been only preliminary so far, though.
