Throwback Thursday: Branco’s “Postcard” in the Genoa Derby
In the 1990-91 Serie A season, Osvaldo Bagnoli’s Genoa had a thrilling campaign, ending fourth in the table and qualifying for the following season UEFA Cup. It was the Genoa of Stefano Eranio and Tomas Skuhravy, but also of Brazilian defender Branco and his deadly free-kicks - such as the one that won the Rossoblu a famous derby against future title winner Sampdoria.
