Saudi Arabia came from behind at the Lusail Iconic stadium to stun tournament favorite Argentina 2-1. Al Sheri and Al Dawsari's goals in the second half cancelled Leo Messi's spot kick that had put the Albiceleste ahead. It was incredible game for the Saudi, who found the back of the net from their only two shots on target and put together a flawless defensive performance.

As World Cup 2018 officially kicked off today, it was imperative for host country Russia to be off to a good start at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. Mission was fully accomplished for the Russian squad, with their jewel Aleksander Golovin serving two assists and scoring from a free-kick in a convincing 5-0 pummeling of Saudi Arabia in the opening match of Group A.
